Mexico City 02:58
We're on our way down to Mexico City Gonna wipe that cold away We're going where the sun shines all the time In Mexico City I've been broke for what feels like ages I'm gonna hold out for some big life changes I'm gonna drink so many cervezas In Mexico City I'm gonna say "sin carne, queso, y leche" And I can't say that I have ever for one second missed it Just like I won't miss that home, so stiff and so damn cold Not like Mexico City
2.
Meet me when the streetlights meet the sunrise When yesterday's mistakes are washed away Where the pavement catches sky And a morning's heavy eye Bottle caps stand testament to these times Meet me when the parties are all over When folks have coupled up and the drunks have stumbled home Cause there aint nothing in this town We didn't bring here on our own Where ever we roam this world is our home Coro: Hold on to the wind my friend Oh, we're gonna meet again Hold on to that one that's at your side Always be forthcoming, always be forthright You're gonna need someone to post your bail Someone to pick you up those times you fail Someone to sing with in the face of any gale Hold on to that thing that's inside of you Use it like a compass, a star to guide you And never let it fall To the bottom of what you are Keep it near man and it'll take you far Puente: My best friend is leaving again My friend, we'll meet again
3.
Well we aint got no place to go but home from here Cause my vision's getting funny And I'm running out of money And they're running out of beer. Oh no! Tell my lovely I'll be home tonight for sure Over sidewalk cracks And old unused tracks Right to our front door Oh I'll be feeling this tomorrow for sure But better than feeling the things that I felt before Coro: So give me one last reason to care The curve of your smile, the way that you pull back your hair Cause I know that this cannot go on. I aint got no trust in no doctor's anyway Their hands are too cold They just make me feel old And their council seems so cheap So come my friendlies, let's go to the bar for a drink Beer, tequila, or scotch Whiskey on the rocks Whatever helps you feel free (oh!) Oh we'll be feeling this tomorrow for sure But better than feeling the things that we felt before So give me one last reason to care The curve of your smile, the way that you pull back your hair Cause I know that this cannot go on. Oh, the moment is gone We chase it, we're always too late It's something inside Like something has died We'll never resuscitate Yes oh, the moment is gone It's fleeting, it's final, it's bate We're better than this But lazy as shit So let's just self-medicate Oh we'll be feeling this tomorrow for sure But better than feeling the things that we felt before So give me one last reason to care The curve of your smile, the way that you pull back your hair And keep on like you'll never find a better way home Through the thick of the fog, the snow, and the bitter cold And I know that this cannot go on Just keep on And be strong It's clear Then pass me another beer.

Something in that drink of yours That makes you act all out of sorts? You aint gonna get my love tonight Pardon me I'm gonna leave Hit the bricks, yeah feel the breeze You aint gonna get my love tonight What's there something wrong with you? You just carry on and act a fool You aint gonna get my love tonight I don't care if the music's hot You can't carry on and act a slob No, You aint gonna get my love tonight Coro: Don't matter what they say I don't care how you were raised You don't get to act that way Don't matter how much you make The car you drive or your daddy's name You don't get to act that way Go on home where the shower's cold Go cool off. Do as your told You don't get to act the fool tonight Whiskey makes you act like this? You're not cool. You're just a dick No you don't get to act the fool tonight Puente: I don't think you'll ever understand What it truly means to be a man It aint about making fun and calling folks gay It's about showing up Not who can throw the hardest punch You're a weak-willed son of a bitch Over compensating for a lack of love Or self respect, or deep seated Emotional issues That you never had the courage to face

Dagger Eyes 03:54
It's a cold, cold day in Toronto Go down south? Well you know I wanna But I'm gonna have to pay my bills sometime Now I'm stuck up here in this job I hate With just enough cash to drink it away So watch out, for these Dagger eyes Coro: I've been sharpening my tongue With the chip on my shoulder Trying to find a target for these dagger eyes it's all because she went away Now God help you if you get in my way Yeah watch out for these dagger eyes I wonder what the weather's like down there Hope it's rainy all the time with polluted air Hope you never see a single star in the sky No, I'm sorry that I talked like that I just know now that I missed my chance Yeah watch out for these dagger eyes
